American Safety Options, Inc. is a family-owned home care provider with over 10 years of dedicated service to adults, seniors, individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and their families. Our story began when several members of our family embarked on various careers across multiple disciplines, including social work, health administration, behavior analysis, and nursing, that have intersected with seniors and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through first-hand experiences of working as DSPs, House Managers, Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals, Registered Nurses, and support coordinators, we felt an overwhelming need to address historical challenges of community exclusion, institutional mistreatment, and inconsistency in care within the intellectual and developmental disability community.
Established in 2014, our journey has been deeply rewarding, bringing comfort and support to countless clients. Our approach is centered on our family values of respect, dignity, diversity, and choice.
